What can we do together?
01 — Counselling
I believe that even if you are feeling the worst you have ever felt things can get better. I have experience working with both young people and adults in both short and long term settings. I qualified with a diploma in therapeutic counselling and I am a member of the BACP and the Complimentary Medical Association. I continue to expand my learning and understanding through CPD training and seminars. Throughout my time as a counsellor I have worked with range of clients all bringing their own unique problems and experiences, I have also spent some time working in secondary schools.
I work with you to find emotional balance in your life, believing that you expert in your own life. I work with issues such as low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, self-harm, body image issues and stress using an integrative approach including person centred counselling, psychodynamic counselling, DBT skills and mindfulness.
02 — Mindfulness and Meditation
Mindfulness and meditation can be used as part of your counselling journey to facilitate healing. Mindfulness has been shown to benefit overall wellbeing in ways such as reducing stress, an increase in concentration and self control over impulsive and destructive thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
03 — Yoga
I am a qualified yoga teacher specialising in Hatha and restorative flow. Often times when we are struggling to find emotional balance we fall out of balance in other areas of our lives. Finding some connection with our physical bodies can be part of the journey towards finding balance and healing.
